Natural Light

When I was pregnant with Squirt, I knew he was a boy from the beginning. Never really thought of him as a girl. I was always glad I had a boy. However, since I've had the opportunity to spoil the Princess with love and affection and submitted her to being a model, I kind of like have a baby girl around. I think Squirt does too. I set the Princess up to model again this weekend. I put a white sheet over a recliner and placed it right in front of a window at her grandma's house. I didn't think this one in particular was too bad.

How to spend a Sunday afternoon!

Sleeping

Sippin on Hog Wash

It seems red is his favorite this week

Fishing on your girlfriend's iphone, catching 40 pound large mouth bass

And seeing as I just couldn't leave myself out... kicking your feet up watching football.

New story board

Found a template and made some alterations.
Glad I have two kiddos to photograph now instead of just one handsome man!

Fair fun!

I've been involved at the fair, showing, volunteering and watching since I began showing at 10 years old... ehmm ehmmm a mear 20 years ago... damn I'm old!!!!
My handsome man has been to the fair every year of his life. Thought I'd take a moment to look back...

2006 at three months old. My dad was on the fair board and mom was home because she was having back problems again. She'd have her last surgery a few weeks after this picture.

2007 at one year three months old.

We barrowed a goat from my uncle "Baby" and my handsome boy showed it in the pet look alike contest... the "kids" in their overalls and ball caps one first prize!! My baby's first fair trophy, I was pretty proud of him!!

2008 - 2 years, three months, ornery and bossy in his "papa britches"

Uncle Bubba helped him show a calf in the pee wee showmanship contest. He was more into the trophy than holding the halter for the calf.

2009 - 3 years 3 months! Papa britches again! Definately the man in charge, just ask him he'll tell you. This was the first year we didn't spend the whole weekend out at the fair in 20 years. My dad retired from the fair board after last year's fair. We didn't have any calves that were the right age for Squirt to show so we just went to walk through and check things out... had to take his picture though.

Aint he just cute!

And in six more years.......

He'll be showing like his momma did! Damn I was skinny... Excuse me, can I please have my old body back. It think it would be easier to turn 30 in a few weeks in this body!!!

Catching up...

It seems to be pretty busy right now around my house. Football has started, my son's in school, the days are getting shorter and I'm loving spending time with my guy and the kiddos. I've been dating Mike since spring. I'd been single for more than three years before that. While I'm glad I spent the time with just me and my little man I'm very glad to have a growing, healthy relationship. Mike and Squirt get along great. Squirt looks forward to spending time with Mike as much as I do.
This last weekend we had an extra day to spend together because of the holiday. My son was sick and then Mike's allergies got the best of him.
I did get a dozen roses this weekend! There's been only one other time I've gotten a dozen roses from a man and I can probably count on one hand any other times I've been given flowers from someone other than my parents. To say the least I felt special and very loved.
I can't remember a time when a man was as open and honest with me as Mike has been. He's very easy to talk to about anything. I am who I am with him, I don't have to try being someone to please him. He knows I don't always put makeup on in the morning and my van is usually a mess. He loves me anyway. He was patient when my first attempt at his peach cobbler wasn't the best, but seemed to like the second try around.
Did I mention that he and my Squirt get along great too? They do! Squirt definately keeps us entertained. I was laying around with my glasses off and Mr Boss Man comes up to me and says he wants a glass of milk. I look at him half sleepy and say oh yeah... his response was.. yeah so put your glasses on and go to the refrigerator and get me a glass of milk! He hands me my glasses as he tells me this cause he knows I can't see without them.
He likes helping out with the baby too when we have the awesome opportunity to spend time with her. Maybe it will be more in the future!
