Still experimenting

I'm still experimenting. I did this by hand today. I have an older version of photoshop so not all actions work for me. This is far from sellable or even great but I think it's a start.

Not sports today!!!

I'm nearly caught up with photography work and things will start to slow down now that we are in playoff mode. Some teams will finish this weekend. Now if everyone will just buy!!!!!!! I'm posting a few to catch up here. I got sick of looking at and taking sports so these are images around my parents farm and my grandma's house.

Thursday

I've been mixed up all week. Monday I drove in circles to get back to the mail box because I forgot to check the mail... duh no mail. Tuesday I thought it was Wednesday.... Wednesday I thought was Tuesday. I'm just glad today is Friday!!! Well it IS MY Friday at my full time job.

I got spring fever even though it turned cold again today so I bought Roses! Guess I'll be working to get them planted tomorrow. I bought two hybrid teas and one climber. This hybrid is called "Firefighter"

This is the template I've put together for the weekend team shoot we're doing.... What do you think? Thank you Kerry for getting me started!!!

OMG I'm behind

I'm so behind everywhere!
Here's a few to catch me up here....

My cousin at one of his playoff games. This game he won by two points in overtime.

I spent Friday night and all day Saturday at a regional elementary school wrestling tournament.

Many Many Many Many more at http://www.snapshotmoms.com/

Did I say many more! I think we had close to 2,000 images to go through and post, which is why I'm behind everywhere else.

I swear I wasn't lost but I may have been going in circles....

Yes OnStar I'm at the corner of Sixth and Sixth, No OnStar I have not been drinking! I guess the town I visited decided to name east west streets "ave" and north south streets "streets"

My counter of my camera rolled over last night.

And 10,000 in just over 12 months. Think I'm going to use this to create a template. We're photographing team basketball pictures on Saturday. Two more games this week, then playoffs start... I think I see the end of the tunnel. Then soccer, baseball and softball start, crap another tunnel! Does this catch me up??

The stats

I ran around tonight between a high school wrestling homecoming and a jr high playoff basketball game 20 miles away. My cousin played in the basketball game. During the three minute half time, I snapped this of the coaches stat book. My cousin won by two points in overtime.

Day of Love

Today was a "Day of Love" at area McDonalds. They sold discounted cheeseburgers and hamburgers and donated all proceeds to the area Ronald McDonald House. The house, thankfully none of my family has never needed but it truely is a blessing to those who do. The house provides a place for families to stay comfortably and free of charge who have loved ones in the hospital. This allows for families to be close, the house is less than a mile from the hospital, without having to foot a bill for a hotel.

Working

Today was definately a Monday!!! I took my grandparents to an MRI appointment and felt like I've accomplished nothing today. I started this last night and finished this morning. I really worked on getting the post processing on his eyes but you can't really tell it on here. It looks much better as my new screen background.

Is it aliens?

Nah, just my crazy family! My son is finally starting to feel better this weekend. He was tired and cranky today and we were doing what we could to entertain him and ourselves.

My cousin.... started it.

I tried my hand at trying to correct the acne in photoshop... I'm still working and learning. There really is lots of red sploches on his forehead.

Even my grandma got in on the action.

Quick before I fall asleep

I'm about to head to bed. I've been up editing pictures to send to the local paper and writing a sports story in which both home teams I was covering got their tale ends kicked BAD! It's so much easier to fake sports writing if the teams win. It was also homecoming and this little guy's expression cracked me up. Bet he' thinking when can I get this monkey suit off and run in the mud!

I'm slow

I'm slowly getting my blog customized. I'm so jealous of the layout some of you have done. I don't know enough to get as fancy as some of you have. But I am getting there. Since I didn't get out to shoot today. This one is about the same time frame last year. I can't believe how much he's grown.

Choo Choo!!!

I was first in line to wait last night. The frames are at different speeds but same aperture set in manual with my kit lens. I like how you can see "the other side of the tracks" peaking through. I wish I could find out how to curve or wave the filmstrip. The previous post of the church appears curved but that's through an action I downloaded and can't figure out which part of the action makes it curve and how.

Downtown church

Had to go all over Tulsa today for work including downtown. I love the architecture there, hate the confusing one way streets, I always get lost! I always feel small against the big buildings too. Luckily, today I was able to just skirt downtown and not get too far lost. I took this out the windshield from a ways off. It was cold and windy and really no place to park to get a good shot. It is a church and they've been working on the steeple. If you look closely you'll see the crane and scaffolding. I THINK they are putting on a copper type shingle. It really is pretty especially when the sun reflects off it. They've been working on this project for a while now.

I've tried

To cut it out of my daily life, I just can't. I can minimalize the amount I drink but I simply can't do without my Diet Dr Pepper. I played around with some photoshop actions and a plastic wrap filter.

My son's still sick at Mom's poor baby doesn't want to eat. I'm going to stop and get popsicles after work. If his fever doesn't go down by tomorrow I get to take him to the doc's again.
